By the time Haelys had tensed her muscles in preparation to swing the Tetsubo, fueled by its energy and her anger, the attacker was flipped over and off the boat. At first, she was immediately impressed that Nako had used the opportunity to take control of the situation. Perhaps she could be an ally—after all, she had technically protected Haelys in that moment (though it was possible it was simply out of self-preservation). But then the queen noticed the blood pouring from the other woman's nose and the prospect of a skilled comrade quickly slipped away from her.
Even with Haelys's hands on the Tetsubo rather than her oar, their water vessel was moving at an impressive speed. Their canoe bonked into the others. Geoff's canoe bonked into theirs. The woman let out a war cry "RAHHHHH!", as she swung the Tetsubo with more ease and precision than she could have ever achieved without a certain enchantment. One of the assailants went flying off a boat and Haelsy absolutely reveled in this feeling of doing true damage to someone. This was her kind of therapy.
Haelys's moment of triumph and power was rudely interrupted by...lightning? With Geoff just behind them, the woman had to turn to see what was happening. She squinted in the sudden flash of light and it took her a few moments to recognize that the remaining enemies were quite limp from the attack. Okay, the Tetsubo was awesome, but that was also quite impressive. Maybe her weapon could secretly shoot fireballs or something. That would be ideal.
Something broke her focus.
This feeling—it was vaguely familiar and yet also not typical at all. It was striking...distinct. The origins at first were mysterious, for she had not yet noticed the figures in the water. But as a rush of pride came over her (pride was not an unfamiliar sensation to her, but was also not her primary feeling in this moment), she turned to search for the source. Light eyes met dark eyes, and somehow she knew it was him. It was a strangely pleasant moment in the face of chaos, but Haelys's attention was pulled away by a sense of urgency pulsing through her.
She was too distracted to notice the gifts that had come to Nako. While she had missed the memo about the eggs, she was under the impression that Tynis had found something. And, unfortunately, he was not conscious enough to grab said items.
While Juhno was debating who should retrieve Tynis, Haelys was very much a get shit done type of person—even if she despised tasks that were less than glamorous (she was used to telling other people to get her shit done). But in this case, two things beckoned her out of the canoe: the potential of treasure in the water and her winemaker. Sure, Tynis was kind and useful for a wide variety of reasons, but most importantly his wine was good for both profit and her soul. Hey, doing a good thing for selfish reasons was still doing a good thing.
Reaching her arm around to her back where the fabric was already ripped, she promptly tore her dress off. Now, now, you sicko. She was wearing undergarments—specifically a white undershirt with those silly to-the-knee white shorts (and for whatever Planetary reason they were not see-through when wet). Tetsubo in hand (she wasn't letting this thing go), she leapt into the water, swimming/trudging over to him the best she could. One arm held the Tetsubo over her shoulder while the other arm latched onto Tynis's top half, dragging him closer to the canoes. Her intention was to hand him over to anyone that would take him into their canoe. She did not realize that her Mordre-Tu was lingering close by, waiting for a good moment to strike if needed.
Assuming somebody was willing to pull Tynis into their canoe with a bit of a push from her, Haelys attempted to latch back onto the egde Nako's canoe, essentially hitching a ride from the water.
"Don't you dare use that sword while I'm still in the water." She barked at Geoff before turning to Nako.
"To the treasure!" Nako, that was your cue to paddle straight ahead to the presumed treasure. And she knew you could paddle like the wind, lady. She was ready to scoop as much treasure as possible into their canoe. If Nako was busy with her new gifts, she would gladly grab onto Geoff's canoe instead.
[OOC: My new boy is exactly what Haelys loves and his name will later be Maz-duur. Thank you! He is too cool!]
